Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring a full-time Store Lead to join our team at our Boulder, Colorado store! This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to work closely with the founding team of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream as the company embarks on its next stage of major growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in food service operations, driven, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment (and loves ice cream!).
Our Store Leads report directly to the Area Manager for the Colorado Market and will supervise their assigned shifts. The Store Lead is in charge of ensuring that their store runs smoothly, customer satisfaction remains high, and team members stay focused and on task.
Full Time Store Leads at Van Leeuwen's Scoop Shops have made on average up to $28 per hour (this includes hourly rate + Tips).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train, coach, supervise and provide support to team members on shift
- Anchors the team through all operational duties based on the volume of the shift
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers
- Communicates necessary information to GM
- Keeps tabs on the team morale to ensure team is staying positive and productive
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to team members on shift to ensure operational excellence
- Delivers excellent customer service and steps in to assist team members on shift with customers who might need additional assistance
- Executes store operations during scheduled shifts including organizing opening and closing duties as assigned and deploying labor as needed to keep up with store volume
- Deeply understands the Van Leeuwen menu and provides quality product to our customer
- Follows all policies and procedures and keeps tabs on employees on shift to ensure they are following protocol as well
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
- Maintains availability that includes at least two weekend days (Fri, Sat, Sun) plus any days deemed necessary by retail leadership based on store needs
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in food service (quick service a plus)
- 1+ year(s) of management or supervisor experience in food service
- Food handlers license
- Able to push/pull/lift 50 lbs. of weight
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to train and coach team members
- Ability to multitask
