We are looking for a Chemical and Stationery Stock Keeper to join the Research Site Operations team in the Advanced Materials & Chemicals division in Rochester, NY.

As a Chemical and Stationery Stock Keeper you will be part of the site operations team that supports Kodak research scientists and tenant operations in the Kodak Research Laboratories in Rochester by providing chemicals, lab equipment and stationery supplies through the on-site stockroom. The stockroom function enables the success of many Kodak R&D programs, as well as a variety of tenant R&D activities within the same complex. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with the procurement of chemicals, scientific labware and stationery items via automated purchasing systems, and managing and accounting for the stock of these items daily.

Job Requirements:

• Order, stock, and track usage of regular chemical, lab, and stationery stockroom items.
• Place special one-off orders with several vendors or with Kodak Purchasing as needed.
• Dispense stockroom items to Kodak and tenant customers via a walk-up window.
• A working proficiency with Intellitrack stock management system, and the Kodak Chemical
• Tracking and Stores ordering systems.
• Perform routine and irregular receipts of orders.
• Order, stock, and track usage of bulk solvents, filling 1-gallon safety cans as needed.
• Order, stock, and track usage of dry ice.
• Coordinate filling of liquid nitrogen lab tanks with facilities staff.
• Track consumption of liquid nitrogen via bulk tank readings.
• Monthly tracking and reporting on chemical and stationery items sold to tenants.
• Receive and process chemical library orders.
• Coordinate the lab coat laundry service.
• Manage, and replenish as needed, the syringe inventory for the Research Labs and Specialty Chemicals.

Skills Required:

• Highly organized with good time management and strong safe working practices.
• Comfortable with handling and stocking chemicals in small and large containers.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Proficient with computer applications, email and using a variety of software programs.
• Good team player, willing to learn and be flexible as priorities change.

Experience:

• Experience in a materials stockroom operation with use of software-based ordering.
• Serving customers with one-on-one attention for immediate needs and special orders.
• Handling of chemicals and other materials for stocking and dispensing.
• Use of manual pallet jacks for moving materials from receiving dock.

Physical Job Requirements

• Bending/twisting/pulling/pushing/walking.
• Regularly lift and or move up to 25lbs/11kg.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg.
• Operation of manual pallet jack.
• Brief periods of time outdoors are required to take tank readings and transport materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
