Description
Stock Clerk needed for the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department at UNC Health cares for patients from minor illnesses and injuries to critical medical emergencies and trauma patients ranging in ages neonates to elderly. The 97 bed Emergency Department is comprised of the main ED, Behavioral Health ED and Pediatric ED; and utilizes a team staffing format. This large number of high acuity patients received in the department contributes to a very challenging and rewarding clinical environment.
This is a 40 hours per week position; working 10 hour variable shifts with weekend and holiday rotation. Qualifies for an extensive benefit package including PTO hours. This position requires the ability to attend a week long orientation (Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm) which is offered every two weeks.
Summary:
Receives, orders, inventories, stores and issues items (food, drugs, equipment, chemicals, products, etc.) throughout the facility and off-site locations. This position performs these duties in both patient and non-patient related care areas and is assigned to a variety of departments throughout UNC Hospitals.
Responsibilities:
1. Assists with patient and other transportation as requested
2. Loads and unloads supplies. Packs and unpacks items to be stocked.
3. Maintains invoices and other records.
4. Maintains storage areas in safe, neat and clean condition
5. Receives, orders, inventories, stores and distributes supplies
6. User consultation-meets with users to fulfill needs.
