Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assemble and package surgical instrument trays
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage
- Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies
- Follow proper procedures for decontamination, sterilization, and storage of instruments
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or related role preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Understanding of Sterile Processing techniques and procedures
Skills:
- Proficient in cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments
- Ability to operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment
- Attention to detail to ensure proper assembly and packaging of instrument trays
- Strong organizational skills to maintain inventory and track supplies
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
