About the Temporary Position: (This is not a 100% remote position/ MANDATORY IN OFFICE: Tuesday & Wednesday)
First Book has an exciting opportunity for entrepreneurial individuals who share a passion for our mission, and possess superior creative skills including content creation, writing and producing/editing videos.

A successful employee will have many of the following skills/experience:

• Ability and desire to write and copyedit content, both creating original pieces and updating previously produced materials
• Social media content creation — including writing content, creating images and videos
• Experience designing in Canva
• Experience with WordPress and basic HTML skills, knowledge of basic SEO best practices preferred
• Ability to synthesize and paraphrase findings into a strong story
• Willingness and resourcefulness to jump into projects, with guidance from staff
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details to help maintain consistent updates across all digital platforms, both internal and external
• Open communication style where you feel comfortable interacting across teams and staff

Cool projects you will work on:

• Partnership support for companies like LEGO, Audemars Piguet, Build-A-Bear Workshop, New York Life Foundation, and many more
• Video creation and editing to show the impact of our great work
• First Book content marketing + blog writing
• First Book social media accounts
• Supporting storytelling initiatives through video creation and editing to show the impact of our work
• Managing digital media library

What you will learn:

• Content marketing best practices
• Branding + corporate positioning best practices
• Social media management + best practices
• Storytelling strategy + best practices

**In addition to an hourly wage, First Book will pay commuting costs throughout the duration of the temporary position**
