Job Description:

• Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device IFU’s

and best practices.

• Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.
• Performs physical and environmental duties as designated on a routine daily basis, including but not limited to cleaning

work space/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazards waste, monitoring sterilizers, and checking environmentalmonitors.

• Completes sterilization processes.
• Performs high level disinfection.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including other essential instrument room duties.Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device instructions for use and best practices. Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately. Performs physical and environmental duties as designated on a routine basis, including but not limited to cleaning workspace/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazard waste, monitoring sterilizers and checking environmental conditions. Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the hospital. Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment, to prioritize and organize and to work independently. • H.S. Diploma or GED. 2 years hospital Sterile processing experience.Candidate will rotate throughout our 3 SPD areas.Shift will be 3p-11p with a 30-minute lunch.Skills:
• Knowledge of a wide variety of instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the Hospital.

• Ability to operate all OR sterilization and processing equipment, to prioritize and organize, and to work independentlywith consistent supervision

Education:
Required- H.S. Diploma or GED OR
Required Other Central Services Technician Course
Required- 2 years Experience in hospital instrument processing OR
Required- Completion of a Central Services Technician Course

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
