Sterile Processing Distribution Technician Assistant (2Nd Shift At Carle Foundation Hospital)

The SPD Tech Assistant is responsible for coordinating disposable supplies and instrument inventory needed for same day/next day surgical cases. Stocks instruments accurately on the SPD shelves. Answers the phone to take requests from the OR for disposables and instrumentation for delivery.

Ensures daily re-stocking of disposables in the OR Omni-cells. Organizes and audits OR case carts to ensure all instrumentation and supplies have been pulled correctly for delivery to the respective OR rooms. Assists with organizing case carts and containers from the cart washer for the SPD Technicians.

Stocks all specialty carts for the OR and the hospital floors.
