Role overview:
As an Account Executive, you will be one of the most important hires at this stage of the business and at the very heart of our customer-obsessed culture. You will be fundamental in building out and selling new opportunities to grow our marketplace business within Felux. This means hunting for new RFQs, building buying account relationships, negotiating, managing the entire sales process, and giving our customers an amazing consumer-like digital experience full of WOW moments. This role is responsible for managing your own book of business by growing your manufacturing customer base and accelerating revenue for this line of business.
What you’ll do:
- Hunt new accounts through cold outreach, existing relationships, and referrals
- Strategically plan and manage buyers and customer services
- Direct, optimize and coordinate the full sales cycle
- Manage and expand network of manufacturers, effectively growing each account month over month
- Meet and exceed revenue targets and goals
- Manage pricing with new and existing accounts to meet margin requirements
- Work closely across the sales team to create constant WOW moments for customers with a best-in-class buying and selling experience anchored in seamless communication and an inherent understanding of customer needs
- Collaborate with Felux technology teams to brainstorm and propose innovative platform solutions to enhance the sales process
What you’ll bring:
- 2+ years experience working in Steel Sales, with strong knowledge of the steel industry. Experience working with a service center a plus.
- An insatiable customer obsession and drive for success.
- An interest in technology and start-up culture.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work well with people from all different backgrounds.
- Experience successfully managing a strong book of business, ideally building it from the ground up.
- Demonstrable ability to learn, adapt, and experiment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
