How you will make an impact:

  • Provide Statistical Programming support in all clinical trials conducted in THV business unit.
  • Review TLG output in comparing with table shells to ensure the output TLGs consistent with the table shells.
  • Work with lead statistical programmer for the study to create eCRF SDTM annotation file based on SDTM specifications.
  • Create Statistical Programming related documents.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Good Statistical Programming practice.
  • Hands on SAS or R programming using real life clinical trial data.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and Brownbag Sharing and Learning meetings.

What you will need:
  • Internship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program (Master is preferred) in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Engineering or related fields for the entire duration of their internship. Upon graduating, students are no longer eligible for an internship at Edwards. Must graduate December 2024 or later.
  • Must be in good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent).
  • Related courses taken at school should include but not limited to Statistics, Probability, Linear Regression, Mathematical Modeling and any related statistics or mathematics courses.
  • Good R or SAS programming experience or had R or SAS programming course is a must.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Eager to learn and be proactive in chasing solutions to problems or achieving results.
  • Availability for an assignment for a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.

What else we look for (preferred):
  • Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Python, C++ or Java etc. is a big plus.
  • Good understanding of statistical techniques and computer skills in interfacing MS Office Suite are preferred.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000.00 to $72,000.00 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
