Utilize engineering knowledge and experience to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of equipment within engineering team including: plan, design, and support the manufacturing of stamped parts for all Honda Plants.
- Project work – Business plan, New Model, and End of Life equipment projects. Includes situation analysis, target setting, spec development, business justification, installation, and commissioning
- Problem solving/root cause analysis – gathering data and going to the spot to find root cause and implementing counter measure to eliminate problems
- Analyze current equipment conditions and operating characteristics and seek opportunities for improvement
- Analyze available data to develop and implement strategies to improve department KPIs (run rate, throughput, material reduction). Determine if new data collection is needed and make proposals to improve.
- Support New Model investigation
- Maintain regular communication with other facilities, reduce duplicate workload, and collaborate on global stamping activity.
- Support maintenance with chronic/catastrophic downtime troubleshooting
- Generate documentation to achieve sustainability (“How To” documents, procedures, etc)
