POSITION SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Controls the technical elements and must maintain them to our high standards; not only in the show lounge, but throughout the vessel.
• Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment
• Responsible to set up sound, lighting, video and staging for all shows and guest activities throughout the ship
• Assists Cruise Director with the scheduling of rehearsals
• Responsible for regular sound checks
• Responsible for arranging ships crew to run spotlights, power point, and stage technical assistance for the shows as required and to report the time and attendance to the Crew Purser.
• Assists Cruise Director with the induction of new cruise staff
• Completes, participates and promotes the Signature Service Training Program
• Meets and exceeds guest expectations and ensures complete guest satisfaction;
• Demonstrates genuine concern for guests' wellbeing at all times
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Maintains positive relationships with guests and colleagues
• Respects the privacy and rights of colleagues
• Promotes cooperation and teamwork
• Monitor the practical application of the Company's policy, procedures and instructions.
• Immediately report to the Master any instances where the vessel is unable or fails to comply with any Company's policy, procedure, instruction, and any safety, environmental, or security requirement.
• Participate in crew and passenger safety drills according to instructions from ship's command
• Complies with company safety and pollution prevention regulations;
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor the practical application of the Company's policy, procedures and instructions.
• Immediately report to the Master any instances where the vessel is unable or fails to comply with any Company's policy, procedure, instruction, and any safety, environmental, or security requirement.
• Participate in crew and passenger safety drills according to instructions from ship's command
• Complies with company safety and pollution prevention regulations;
QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced level of English verbal and writing skills, including the proper use of English grammar is required.
• Excellent administrative skills; computer literate - Word/excel/Fidelio/MXP/NVS and similar
EDUCATION
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Extensive experience with sound, lighting and video. General understanding of power and electricity
