Shifts are Weekends only 4:30a-1p and 1p-9:30p
POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE:
Responsible for maintaining adequate and cost-effective staffing for patient care and other units of Community Healthcare System. Coordinates the allotment of registry staff with the hospitals and departments as needed. Receives and fills daily staffing requests with registry staff according to departmental needs via scheduling system. Rotates and schedules registry employees in order to secure coverage for vacant shifts (call-offs, vacations, etc.) and departmental needs. Keeps up to date with staffing needs as census increases and decreases. Communicates with departments and registry employees in a timely manner regarding shift changes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of office environment experience required. Prior experience in staffing or scheduling strongly preferred. Previous experience in a medical environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills necessary. Proficient MS Office skills: Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous Kronos timekeeping or similar scheduling system experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple projects and tasks, with attention to detail.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
