Responsibilities
- Partner with design, product, and marketing colleagues to understand business needs, and design appropriate research studies to generate user-focused insights.
- Design and conduct user research studies, including surveys, in-depth interviews, field studies, focus groups, and concept/prototype testing.
- Foster collaboration with designers, product managers, marketers and sales to translate insights into actionable recommendations that inform innovation and execution.
- Work in partnership with other researchers and organizations within LinkedIn (e.g., data analytics) to create comprehensive and coordinated research strategies that triangulate data from different sources/methods to develop recommendations.
- Deliver compelling research findings with clear recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in user or design research.
- Degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, a related field - or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Consistent use of UX research to influence decision makers to change product strategies and roadmaps.
- Proficient at building trust and confidence with stakeholders and pushing back to support better outcomes for users or customers.
- Ability to independently create and execute research roadmaps for large-scale, complex projects with high levels of ambiguity or complexity.
- Effectively measures and describes the impact of their work over time.
- Deep understanding of common and emerging research methods, with the ability to create multi-method research plans backed by solid rationale.
- Ability to analyze existing research from multiple internal and external sources to arrive at a clearly articulated, informed opinion.
- Experience advocating for members and customers needs within cross-functional teams by delivering effective written reports, engaging presentations, crisp summaries, interactive workshops, and visual artifacts.
- Consistent experience of amplifying and maturing UX practices through advocacy and thought leadership across an organization, industry, or academic discipline.
- Demonstrated growth mindset, adaptability, and perseverance in solving challenging problems.

The pay range for this role is $172,000 to $230,000 Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
