What you'll do at Jamf:
The Staff Systems Development Engineer is responsible for building the tools required to help organizations succeed with Apple. Lead others in the agile team to break down problems and apply the appropriate designs and practices to build Jamf products. Subject matter expert in Kubernetes and Cloud Engineering, and how they can enable various Jamf components and product offerings. Mentor and coach others while delivering new components and features with high quality and reliability.
What you can expect to do in this role:
- Understands all technologies that make up their product area (Kubernetes and Cloud Engineering) and how they interact with all Jamf products and is able to share with others within the organization.
- Introduces new tools and processes to improve overall product quality and engineering efficiency
- Leads in the design of prototypes and new and existing features using best practice techniques (e.g. FMEA, design patterns, interface and boundary diagrams, etc.)
- Technical advisor for complex and critical issues while providing strategic technical direction.
- Places an emphasis on providing solutions that are stable, secure and scalable.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts with others in the organization (Technical Communications, Support, Product and Cloud).
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience developing enterprise grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes (Required)
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in Cloud Engineering, current programming languages and tools based on position requirements (Required)
- Demonstrated experience performance- and load- testing applications (Preferred)
- Experience building enterprise level cloud infrastructure
- Experience working within an agile organization
- Understanding of build systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
- Solution focused ability working collaboratively in a fast paced environment
- Apple platform knowledge
- 2 year / Associates (Required)
- 4 year / Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
