Position Description

The duties of a OMES III Senior Electrical Engineer are:

• Knowledge of engineering analysis electrical systems/subsystems.
• Knowledge of engineering design for electrical systems/subsystems.
• Development and research of electrical systems and components for air, space, ground systems and instruments.

Requisition Qualifications:

This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related area
• 15 + years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Knowledge of engineering design and analysis for electrical systems/subsystems.
• Development and research of electrical systems and components for air, space, ground systems and instruments.
• Conducts electrical/electronic design requirements definition, subsystem and circuit analysis, test plan and procedure development, and safety analysis. Includes knowledge of analog and digital electrical circuits, EEE parts, electronic packaging design and tools.
• Knowledge of printed circuit boards including thermal analysis, timing analysis, and worst-case circuit analysis to optimize design of flight electronics.
• Knowledge and use of standard laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DVMs, etc.
