Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our Mission Critical Facilities group. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about designing innovative, energy-efficient facilities, with a focus on data centers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and provide quality control for a team of designers and engineers in electrical projects.
Prepare detailed electrical construction drawings and specifications in collaboration with mechanical, architectural, and civil/structural design teams.
Design power distribution, standby power systems, lighting, lightning protection, control systems, grounding, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems.
Document study progress and results, and actively participate in client meetings as a technical leader.
Conduct site surveys for design information related to various systems in data center and telecommunications facilities.
Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for compliance with construction document requirements.
Provide field construction management support, including inspections and project close-out.
Adhere to corporate quality control and assurance processes for all electrical design work.
Manage project schedules, quality, and budgets.
Solve complex design problems and certify professional work on projects.
Travel domestically and internationally for project needs, up to 10%.
Conduct business development activities and collaborate with the Business Development Manager for new project proposals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's degree is a plus.
Professional Engineer registration in the USA.
RCDD certification or on the path to obtain it within two years.
Minimum 6 years of experience in designing electrical power systems, preferably in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with knowledge of EasyPower or SKM Power Tools being advantageous.
Proven ability to read and write specifications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer-facing roles.
Strong ability to work efficiently in a team environment with a commitment to customer service.
