Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Support work in the following engineering disciplines: Water Resources (Hydrology and Hydraulics), Structural Engineering (Marine/Waterfront Structures), Geotechnical Engineering (Building Foundations, Dam Safety), and Environmental (Site Investigation and Remediation)
- As part of an integrated team, work closely and collaboratively with other project specialists, engineers, project managers, and project directors to execute projects effectively and efficiently
- Develop spreadsheets and databases, conduct technical analysis, and assist with preparation of CAD and GIS files
- Perform field work as needed to support projects including but not limited to field observation and data collection, soil and water sample collection, drill rig observation, and support of other field investigations
- Work will be directed by various project managers
Minimum Qualifications
- 0-3 years of experience
- B.S. in Civil Engineering; M.S. is desirable
- E.I.T. is desirable, and ability to work towards professional registration
- Ability to successfully formulate and execute technical assignments with minimal oversight and direction; desire to acquire and apply new skills and techniques with application to project assignments
- Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, CAD, MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other computer applications, GIS experience strongly preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well alone and in a team atmosphere
- Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills and willing to respond to instruction
- Willing to travel on assignments as necessary, including field assignments
- Valid driver’s license
