Staff Assistant

The Senior Center of Elk Grove is a small nonprofit organization which works with seniors to keep them vital and healthy. Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Assistant to join our team. The Staff Assistant will provide a great first impression on our members. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:
-Check in members to programs/classes
- Help find resources for phone in or in person seniors
- Help move chairs/tables or other equipment needed for programs
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
- Provide support to other staff members as needed

Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Previous experience in an office is preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
