What You Will Do as a Key member of our Team:
As a Staff Accountant, we'd like you to:
• Manage and coordinate the billing process between the finance department and the organization.
• Focus on Collections - contact internal and external clients and collect outstanding payments.
• Support cash flow projections.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings tasks.
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts as requested.
• Assist with Accounts Payables as needed.
• Prepare journal entries as requested.
• Assist Controller with special projects as required.
• Assist in answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Corporate Accounting experience, including GAAP practices and procedures are a must.
• Asist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
• Support the finance team in various strategic and operational tasks.
• Present recommendations on how to optimize the business.
• The Position is based on Teaneck, however, there are rotation opportunities across the world (US, Europe, Asia, etc.).
Desired skills and experience
To qualify and succeed, in the fast-growing environment we do business in, you will need:
• BA/BS degree in finance, business finance, accounting, or related field
• 2+ years' experience working in a corporate environment within reporting, finance, accounting, or FP&A environments.
• Working knowledge of accounting / financial software and systems
• Working knowledge of Banking systems and integration 2
• You are not afraid of working with data.
• Excel Skills (and Microsoft Office) skills is a requirement.
• Highly organized, self-starter, that excels in collaborative work environments and team first attitude, yet can work independently and deliver results.
• We are growing fast, and this means we are figuring things out as we move on, thus proven experience working in very dynamic environments at a fast pace is a plus. • Capacity to think logically and proactively.
• Bias to action and inclination to present recommendations. This is because we have a learning culture, and we understand great ideas come from all the team members, independent of seniority. • We love people that speak many languages (because we are growing everywhere) thus this is a plus as well, yet not mandatory.
• You communicate effectively. This is because finance works in a very collaborative environment across the organization. We are business partners and are in constant communication and alignment with many organizational areas.
• We love to coach and develop teammates, thus even if you don't have all the skills listed above yet, but have interest in learning as you grow in your career, we'd like to hear from you.
