Under general supervision, perform thorough review of monthly reporting packages and accounting for commercial properties and provide support to property management. Support the periodic divisional consolidation and reporting process
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Generally accepted accounting principles, standards and practices.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, following through on responsibilities with little supervision.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
Essential Functions:
- Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements as well as supporting schedules
- Assist in annual business plan/forecast preparation
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for accrual basis accounting.
- Review and process Management fees on a monthly basis.
- Assist with budgets.
- Cashflow Projections and management of cash, as needed.
Educational Background/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field from an accredited university.
2-3 years of practical accounting experience; real estate and/or property accounting experience a plus but will train.
Application Knowledge: Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc.) is required.
