Cozzini has a great opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team!

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries by collecting, reconciling, analyzing, and summarizing information related to financial transactions.
• Take an active role with monthly financial close.
• Analyze assigned GL accounts for proper accounting treatment.
• Maintain general ledger accounts.
• Assist with cash control by reconciling bank statements and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the fixed asset ledgers and the fixed asset detail records.
• Responsible for the analysis and reporting of all sales tax transactions in accordance with applicable state law. Includes responsibility for maintaining the sales tax-exempt certificate database.
• Special assignments as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 1-5 years experience in accounting.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite skills – especially excel functions – i.e., pivot tables.
• Able to work efficiently in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Must be detail oriented and have great organizational skill.
