Staff Accountant - Remote/Mn

Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant will support the overall Accounting group in our goal of timely and materially accurate period-end close processing and financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Process asset task requests and maintenance changes including transfers, sales and retirements into ERP.t into ERP
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including monitoring asset and accrual balances for appropriateness.
• Responsible for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting problems and discrepancies.
• Partner with other departments on financial matters including finance policies and procedures.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with others including peers in Finance, the business and management.
• Provide support on quarterly requests from external audit firm and internal control SOX requests. control SOX requests.
• Performs other relevant job duties as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or equivalent related experience and training.
• Two years of previous Accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Spreadsheet skills to manipulate large quantities of data; knowledge of PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications; Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use Oracle EBS ERP platform preferred.
