SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced, detail-orientated, problem-solving individual to join our talented group as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will be involved in various aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, technical accounting research, account reconciliations, and journal entries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and/or review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts, investigate and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner,
• Prepare assigned journal entries during month-end close,
• Assist in managing the corporate credit card process, reconcile corporate bank statements and expense reports,
• Responsible for full cycle accounts payable
• Assist in researching complex accounting transactions and drafting technical accounting memos,
• Analyze the implications of new accounting standards on the Company and assist with associated implementation projects,
• Interact with external and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of the audit of the Company’s consolidated financial statements, including quarterly reviews,
• Assist in various efforts to improve the efficiency surrounding the data collection and reporting by developing automated processes and applications,
• Prepare ad hoc reports, as needed,
• Other duties as assigned,

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required,
• A minimum of 3 years of successful experience in an Accountant position,
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX,
• Training and experience in computer applications. Proficient Excel skills,

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing and sitting throughout shift with occasional bending and lifting
• Occasional lifting of 10-15 pounds with assistance if necessary

Pay: $64,480.00 - $80,000.00 per year
