We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience in accounting, with a strong foundation in GAAP and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.
- Provide support during external audits and tax filings.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
- Utilize best practices and new technologies to help the department scale as the organization grows.
Qualifications:
- Experience: One to three years as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (comfortable with pivot tables and vlookups).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in performing variance analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data integrity and accuracy.
- Healthcare services experience is a plus.
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- CPA or progress towards CPA certificate is a plus.
