Our company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join DeVine in Fremont California.
The successful hire will have strong problem solving & communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting. A hybrid work model may be considered for this role.
The Staff Accountant will be an integral member of DeVine's Fremont office providing skills in finance and accounting. Experience accounting in Federal Contracting and with Deltek Costpoint is required. Experience with compliance and pricing for government contracts is a plus.

General Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains and updates accounting records by performing duties such as recording and posting transactions in journals and the general ledger for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Collects supporting documentation for vouchers, cash receipts, and credit cards
- Conducts a monthly reconciliation of every bank/loan/credit card accounts
- Compiles reports to show cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, balance sheet, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business
- Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Prepares monthly bills and submits them either directly to client or WAWF
- Creates and maintains month-end entries for amortizations, depreciation, and fixed assets
- Deltek Costpoint experience required
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university
- Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Accounting/GAAP knowledge
- 2+ years' of relevant professional experience
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience in analytical and financial modeling
- Familiarity with GSA pricing schedules and CAS compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Federal Government Contracting/Bidding Process/Cost Proposals
- CPFF pricing
- Demonstrable understanding of the current regulatory environment relative to the submission of proposals to the US Government; FAR, DFARS, DCAA in particular
- Experience constructing complex pricing models and competitive pricing analysis in Excel and other pricing tools
About the position:
Position Type: Full-time, no residency sponsorship available
