Staff Accountant

Full Job Description

Prism Health Lab is Chicago-based healthcare company focused on fighting the COVID-19 pandemic through testing and vaccination. PHL differentiates itself through a high standard of care informed by 30+ years of medical experience and an emphasis on serving minority communities most severely impacted by the pandemic. PHL is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its team. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the CEO and play a key part in developing and running the accounting and financial operations of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties

- MUST be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

- Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online

- Accept all transactions on daily basis and do monthly reconciliations in QuickBooks Online

- Manage AP/payroll, pay invoices

- Manage AR, prepare invoices

- Prepare monthly financial statements for owners

- Manage tax returns (prepared by external CPA)

- Issue 1099’s to eligible recipients

Job Qualifications

- MUST be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

- Experience in accounting and with QuickBooks online

- College degree

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner.

- Effective time management; maximizes productivity.

- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

- Pay: $58,500.00 - $66,000.00 per year

Education:

- Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

- Bookkeeping: 3 years required, 5 years (Preferred)

- Work Location: Hybrid, 2 days work from home, 3 days at the office.
