We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant with a great personality and excellent interpersonal communication skills that will assist with the accounting functions. It is an exciting time to become involved in the accounting function at Stream Recycling Solutions. Our company is rapidly expanding throughout the nation and, under the guidance of our parent company, heavily focused on bolstering our accounting and finance capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and perform the day-to-day accounts payable processes including but not limited to; accurately coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, reconciling sub-ledger to GL and processing payments.
• Prepare and send invoices to clients.
• Maintain precise records of all incoming and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist with financial reporting, cash management, and ad-hoc project reporting as needed.
• Support the month-end close process including bank reconciliations, reviewing uncleared deposits/checks, preparing month-end close journal entries, completing balance sheet schedules, performing flux analysis.
• Act as a main point of contact for day-to-day troubleshooting for finance and accounting.
• Assist with managerial reporting such as cashflow forecast and budget analyses.
• Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.
• Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed.
• Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in both incoming and outgoing payments.

What you need to succeed:

• 0-3 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent) preferred.

• Mix of public and private accounting experience preferred
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and G Suite.

• Experience with NetSuite, AvidXchange, inventory management systems, or in-house accounting software for AP/AR a plus.
• The ability to learn and adapt quickly is essential.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and exercise judgment in a customer-facing environment
