STAFF ACCOUNTANT
JOB SUMMARY:
A Staff Accountant is required at our Hudson County, New Jersey corporate office to oversee our company's financials, including month-end closings, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, journal entries, general ledger reviews, cash forecasting, and annual budgeting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for various day-to-day financial activities and procedures, including cash flow, balance sheet, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger, which includes detailed account analysis and preparation of all journal entries
- Prepare annual budget
- Process Accounts Receivables billings
- Track miscellaneous cash transactions
- Post monthly accruals and journal articles
- Reconcile fixed assets, lease, and depreciation schedules
- Backup and support other departments such as Accounts Payable and Payroll
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (Required)
- Knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of financial controls, regulations, and processes
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on team player, organized, and deadline oriented.
- Available to work overtime when needed.
