We are currently seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant I to assist with the management of financial transactions, balance the general ledger, reconcile bank statements, and maintain regulatory compliance.

What you will be doing…
As a Staff Accountant you will be performing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for all business units, your multifaced role involves:
- Efficiently process invoices, wire transfer requests, and charge card payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile vendor statements, expense reports, and address payment complaints and discrepancies, maintaining precision in financial records.
- Review freight bills for inappropriate charges, contributing to cost-effectiveness and financial integrity.
- Manage the accounts receivable function by reviewing the automated invoicing system for discrepancies, posting payments to customer accounts, and entering all invoices into the proprietary system.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, facilitating collections and addressing payment-related issues.
- Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations, analyses, and actively participate in projects as required.
- Generate comprehensive reports for all operational rhythms, providing key insights for strategic decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for…
You will need to have:
- Associate’s degree, with at least twelve credit hours of accounting coursework completed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical skills, and excellent time management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to learn proprietary software system.
