Join us in our important mission to drive healthcare innovation and raise the level of health and well-being worldwide! As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role on our finance team, contributing to the hands-on management of all facets of accounting function for a non-profit. The tasks are split up as follows:
General Ledger Maintenance
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain supporting documentation.
- Support the Accounting Manager with the month-end closing.
- Provide on-going various ad hoc accounting projects, budgeting, financial analysis and, and reporting support for the operations team.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy, and prepare payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Participate in the annual audit, and tax returns’ preparation as needed.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting procedures.
Expense Tracking:
- Review and vouch all incoming invoices, attention to detail and accuracy is extremely important.
- Review and process employee expense reports.
- Perform additional assignments as assigned.
To join, us you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Candidates with additional qualifications such as an MBA, CPA, or CFA are desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience of diverse accounting/controlling experience in a fast-paced environments.
- Excels in consolidating data from various accounting sources and is adept at generating both comprehensive reports and detailed reconciliations.
- Strong General Ledger knowledge and the ability to reconcile accounts.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, association, medical education and/or healthcare environments preferred.
- Strong computer skills including use of Excel and database software, Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, and AMS Personify is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s Great Plains, and with Association Management Systems.
- This position may require periodic travel.
