Industrial Painter

Industrial Painter in West Chester, PA

1st Shift : Mon - Fri 6:00am - 2:30pm

**Starting Pay **: 20+/hr. Depending on Experience

**Basic Function**: Prepping, priming, sanding, and applying standard paints to products and performs basic parts picking in the warehouse.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**including the following. Other duties my e assigned.

• Clean parts and products.
• Paints parts and products.
• Maintains paint production as shop flow demands.
• Mixes and thins paints.
• Maintains weekly inventory of paint products. Packages and labels products.
• Maintains clean and organized work area.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, positioners, and hoists.
• Other duties as assigned.

**Qualification Requirements**: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 to 5 years related experience.
• Language skills: read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instruction, blueprints, drawing, etc.
• Prior spray painting experience highly desirable.
• Able to wear respirator (face free of facial hair for proper fit of respirator) and must successfully pass pulmonary lung function test and must be cleared by medical doctors to wear a respirator.
• Must be able to be forklift certified.
• Self-motivated and flexible; wiling to shift priorities as needed.
• Able to work in a team environment
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
• Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities as party of job and personal development.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to walk and stand, sit, stoop, or crouch The individual is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach/pull with hands and arms occasionally climb. Individual must be able to lift object of no greater than 40 pounds. Objects weighing greater than 40 pounds will require additional assistance. An individual may be required to climb in and out of forklifts and operate dollies and/or pallet jacks.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Individual must be able to distinguish colors. Individual must be able to speak and hear and detect smoke or electrical burn.

All individual are required to wear OSHA approved safety glasses with side shields and steel toe safety shoes. Additional personal protective equipment maybe required in some work areas, where posted.

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• Forklift Licensed
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

• Paint Sprayer

Salary info:

$20 - $22 / hr
