Staff Accountant
Location: Charleston, SC
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $55,000 - $85,000 w/ amazing benefits

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will apply accounting principles to analyze financial information, maintain records, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and record financial information, and prepare internal financial statements with variance analysis.
• Maintain financial records and perform month-end general ledger reconciliations.
• Compile annual corporate budget and assist in Purchase Order System budget allocations.
• Perform journal entries and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Conduct Internal Administrative Audit functions and support management with financial inquiries.
• Coordinate with tax consultants for federal and state tax compliance.
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation reports, and assist in risk management data collection.
• Provide accounts payable support and assist with customer credit and debit memos.
• Assist in preparing and distributing monthly financial statements to executives.
• Support the Controller with integrity and validation reports for financial closing.

Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of four years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Oracle JD Edwards system.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• High level of accuracy in calculations and data interpretation.
