GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts, assisting with the month-end closing process and providing support to agency concerning fiscal matters. The Staff Accountant will be reporting directly to the Finance Director.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate for this position should be someone who is detail oriented and punctual with all tasks assigned. The candidate must also be well versed in various accounting terms and systems.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Assist in the month end close process
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll entries
- Prepare monthly allocation entries
- Reconciliation of all general ledger balance sheet accounts
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with yearly agency audit
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE and/or REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3 years of experience in the field
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of general financial accounting
