Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Oversee processing of Sunday offerings from start to finish.
Handle cash deposits at the bank and accurately record them in ACS Accounting Software.
Scan and ensure proper recording of checks, linking them to contributions and the appropriate funds.
Manage miscellaneous checks and batches, rectifying any inaccuracies in Contributions.
Maintain organized records of all Contributions.
Input memorized transactions into ACS, including Thrift Store, Book Center, recurring payments, and Payroll.
Keep a comprehensive record of all deposits.
Download and input online transactions from Square, QGiv, Secure Give, and WePay into ACS.
Generate Proof Lists and GL Batch Reports for online transactions.
Maintain a comprehensive file of all online transactions.
Accounts Payable:
Input vendor details into ACS and maintain vendor files.
Manage W-9s and vendor invoices, accurately entering them into ACS.
Prepare AP proof lists for review by the Accountant.
Process approved lists, making necessary adjustments and issuing checks.
Generate and print check registers for Wednesday afternoon signing.
Ensure timely mailing of checks and maintain organized voucher and check stub files.
Manage all AP files and check registers, including voiding stale-dated checks.
Maintain detailed records of voided checks.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Provide support to the accountant in preparing Quarterly Giving Statements
Expereince in Payroll is required
Education:
Associate
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Associate degree or higher in accounting
4+ years current experience in a similar role
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-value AR and AP transactions.
Must be computer savvy
Proficiency in ACS Accounting Software or similar systems is very helpful, but will train.
Previous experience in financial management and handling church finances is preferred.
