Job Purpose
To analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization effectively and efficiently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to assist with strategic planning
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices and payments
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with the preparation of annual audits and ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Generate financial reports and presentations for management review
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- CPA license a plus
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, principles and practices
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office
- Time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to work from home effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge of wills, trusts, estate law is a plus
- Good understanding of US tax regulations
Schedule/Availability:
- Monday - Friday, 8 hour days
- 8 AM - 4:30 PM, there is some flexibility with start & end time
- Hybrid > in office 2-3 days per week, remote the other days
