Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time on-site position located in Thomasville, GA, with consideration for remote candidates willing to relocate to North Florida (Jacksonville, Ocala, Lake City, Gainesville, Tallahassee) or South Georgia (Valdosta, Bainbridge, Albany). As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for various aspects of Water Resources Engineering, including stormwater management, water quality analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, water distribution, and wastewater collection. The role involves preparing reports, conducting site assessments and surveys, and overseeing the design and construction of projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of processes and deliverables.
- Assist management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
- Supervise all staff necessary to complete assignments.
- Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Prepare proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
- Receive supervision and guidance relating to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.
- Receive direction on unusual conditions and developments.
- Transport materials, including samples, supplies, and survey equipment.
- Travel to clients, consultants, job sites, agencies, and work locations, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
- Professional Engineer Registration (FL, GA, or able to obtain within 6 months).
- 8+ years of experience in Water Resources Engineering.
- Water Resource Management and Hydrology skills.
- Stormwater and Stormwater Management skills.
- Experience in water quality analysis.
- Experience designing and managing construction projects related to Water Resources.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, ICPR4, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred.
