- Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies;
- Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
- Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D transport models;
- Floodplain mapping and flood protection designs;
- In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;
- Field investigations and construction support services;
- Developing construction documents, including engineering drawings and technical specifications;
- Preparing erosion and sediment control designs;
- Developing strong collaborative relationships and interacting with client representatives and internal Geosyntec colleagues;
- Coordinating work efforts with multi-disciplinary project teams;
- Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
- Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, recruiting, staff development, and mentoring; and
- Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources or other science, with emphasis on Water Resources or closely related discipline. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E., P.G. CPESC, CPSWG) or the ability to obtain within 12 months. (preferred)
- At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) of research or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HY-8, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
