As a remote-first company, this position can sit in Plano, TX or remote in the US.

Position Overview:

Alkami is seeking a well-rounded Senior UX/UI Designer who connects the dots between business needs, user-centered design, and innovation. The ideal candidate will work on various projects and advocate for user-centric design principles throughout the organization. They will collaborate with numerous stakeholders to gather requirements and produce high quality deliverables.

The candidate must be articulate and able to have a positive influence over stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to multitask are critical. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, resourceful, and passionate about learning. They will operate as a detective and a problem solver, ready to dive in and make an impact on Alkami and our users.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Make strategic user-experience decisions for new and existing features by connecting design solutions to business value.
• Work with design and product leadership to produce designs that are aligned with the product vision.
• Design and deliver artifacts including, but not limited to wireframes, problem statements, user journeys, and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices.
• Advocate for the integration of user feedback into the design process, and collaborate with UX Researchers to rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Ability to communicate your work both visually and verbally to product management and engineers in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Take ownership of your projects and follow through on delivery to production and beyond.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, Psychology or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of related experience as well as a portfolio of your work.
• Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and the Google Suite.
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first design.
• Possess a solid grasp of user testing methodologies and accessibility best practices.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Enthusiastic about collaborating closely with team members and other stakeholders.
• Willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
• Open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
• Passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
