What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a Sr. Training Specialist - Core EDS Engineering to join our Core EDS Engineering team in Canton, MI. This person will review current organizational needs and align training initiatives. Work with a global team to determine training requirements, develop standardized material, and balance different internal stakeholder needs. Use understanding of adult learning principles to develop and design effective learning solutions. Assume project management responsibilities for the development or deployment of Engineering training to a wide audience.
What you will be doing:
- Manage and promote Engineering Training Curriculum within YNCA, through SuccessFactors and internal communication tools
- Manage the development of training material per Engineering Training Requirements
- Work with Global Training Team to identify best practices, propose improvements, and deploy shared solutions
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with Training and Engineering Leaders within YNCA and other regions
- Develop training classes and materials based on global and regional needs
- Provide guidance to others in the design of training materials
- Coach other facilitators on the delivery of training content
- Apply principles of adult learning and cultural norms to course development
- Design and administer cohesive training programs including needs assessment, selection of classes, design, pilot, evaluation, implementation to the organization, and ongoing project management
- Populate training database with classroom data
- Facilitate classroom training at multiple locations
- Perform Engineering Resource data analytics
UNIQUE TO Sr. Training Specialist
- Formulate the training strategy and coordinate training material development and training deployment
- Develop partnerships and work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to validate course designs and training curriculum
- Support the deployment of Yazaki Engineering Training within YNCA and Globally
What you will bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Human Resources, or Business Management
- 10 years of relevant experience or 8 years with a master's degree
- Prior experience in coordinating and delivering technical engineering training
- Preferred automotive wire harness design or manufacturing experience
- Knowledge in SuccessFactors and Microsoft Suite
- Preferred knowledge in Captivate, BI, Video Editing Software for online training
