What we need…
We are currently seeking to hire a Sr. Systems Administrator to join the VMware Services group (iWorkstation). The incumbent will be responsible for client-facing Windows Desktop and Server Administration, Break/Fix troubleshooting of client reported issues, VMware Horizon View Setup/Troubleshooting of Client Infrastructure, as well as management of our Cloud based services.

What you’ll do…
- Work in a fast-paced MSP based environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Daily customer interaction required to follow-up on issues and track progress of project(s)
- Install, configure and maintain Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, hardened custom images, networks, custom applications, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot complex system-level problems with thin clients, virtual workstations, virtual servers, laptops, applications, and Cloud services
- Respond to escalated tickets from Level 1 Support Team and Level 2 escalation points
- Implement and maintain security controls as requested by Clients
- Respond to ticket requests and emails submitted by Clients
- Deploy and manage Virtual Desktops and Servers as requested by Clients
- Participate in Disaster Recovery testing
- Stay abreast of current technology trends and the impact to the infrastructure
- Document system and application configurations and deployments standards
- Some weekend/afterhours work required, as necessary
- Occasional On-Call rotation required for Client and infrastructure production issues
What you’ll bring…
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred but will consider appropriate work experience.
- Five+ years of hands-on IT administration experience with solid technical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience working for an MSP/Consultant providing client-facing project work, a strong plus
- Technical certification(s) such as VMware VCP-DTM, Microsoft 365/Azure, LCP, MCSA, a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a group or team
- Ability to adopt change with new tools and technologies increasing automation, performance, scalability
- Strong skills shown to meet business requirements and industry best-practices, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and writing Knowledge Base/client-facing documents
- Strong communication skills working with and supporting end-users
- Demonstrated experience supporting workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and line of business applications
- Experience with management & deployment of Thin Clients and OS, specifically with the IGEL platform, a plus
- Proficiency shown working with Azure (AAD, Identity, Security, Compliance) and Microsoft 365 workloads, to include SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online - Intune MDM & Teams Voice/VOIP a plus
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange Server, and other local systems management (DHCP, DNS, NTFS) required
- Proficiency working with email/content protection systems (anti-spam/DLP/EOP) a strong plus
- Demonstrated experience with PowerShell/MS Graph scripting, for support and deployment automation a plus
- Knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) required
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting of desktop-as-a-service and profile management a plus
- Experience working in a heavily Virtualized environment using VMware vSphere/Horizon a plus
- Experience with enterprise backup software, patching automation products, and packaging of software for deployment, BitTitan/Email Migration tools, PrinterLogic, all a strong plus
The salary range for this role is $90000-120000 annually
