The Headlines:
In the role of Sr. Supply Manager- Secondary Packaging & Sustainability working in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Procurement team. Sr. Supply Manager will be responsible for leading the category team covering multiple areas of purchases or a significant total spend (between $25-50M) This will include developing appropriate category strategies, sourcing strategies, negotiations, delivering cost savings and other financial metrics and managing supplier and stakeholder relationships.
You will lead Packaging initiatives in Procurement towards the delivery against Our 2025 Imprint goals and beyond. This position reports to Director of Procurement and works closely with cross functional teams.
The Responsibilities:
Manages 5-15 categories of high complexity and visibility using strategic sourcing principles
Lead and own the development of strategies, negotiations and obtaining PLT/Stakeholder's alignment through Category Review
Owns and oversees contract compliance once agreement is signed
Manage stakeholders and partner with senior level internal stakeholders to align on priorities and needs
Manage suppliers, including Scorecarding, actively measure KPIs, lead quarterly business reviews, Implementation of innovation and continuous improvement efforts
Manage day to day communication with suppliers, including weekly supply, R&D meetings.
Manage daily, short-term horizon and ensure long term capacity with suppliers and link this with the strategy for the category.
Work closely with Corporate Material Planning team and Provide brewery support on supply or quality concerns, Escalation point for supply and quality issues;
Responsible for managing and reporting on category annual operating planning cycle, including yearly planning activities (LRP and AOP)
Responsible for pricing and commercial terms as negotiated in contract, Manage and communicate quarterly/annual price changes, reconciliations and any invoice disputes.
* Maintain an annual cost savings target of $2M-$8M per year, Support and lead implementation of savings projects; Responsible for inputting and managing accuracy in Ariba Sourcing.
* Responsible for monitoring risks and opportunities within the team's category
Represents Procurement on the NA & Global Packaging Risk Council, and report back to procurement on risks that effect packaging or may require packaging changes
Assist collecting data from suppliers for GHG sustainability goals, identify gaps and address with Suppliers and category manager.
Work with Brand marketing, R&D, Engineering, Corporate/Regional Government Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Regulatory and suppliers to implement sustainable packaging solutions.
Technology scouting jointly with Engineering and R&D to develop manufacturing solutions for sustainable packaging. Research and identify suppliers who have capabilities in the area of sustainable packaging.
Maintain and build relationships in industry to support the corporate sustainable packaging strategy through participation in organizations such as the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF), Recycling partnership, Glass Packaging Institute (GPI), Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI).
The Other Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant experience and people management skills
Expert in category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills
Experience in beverage or fast-moving consumer goods in a multi-national environment
SAP experience is desired
