What’s a typical day as a Sr. Supply Chain Planning Analyst? You’ll be:
- Planning and controling inventory of finished goods to meet sales and distribution demand
- Analyzing inventory levels, inventory positioning, and production and sale forecasts
- Implementing strategies to improve customer service and operational metrics
- Developing planning scenarios and presenting to management
- Overseeing the planning and execution management of complex Medical Device Supply Chains supported by various external partners
- Monitoring and tracking supplier KPIs
- Developing cross functional mitigations to address supplier performance issues
- Developing and monitoring annual supplier purchase plans related to Client Business Planning processes
- Partnering with Global Planning team to translate country demand forecasts into SKU level purchase plans while meeting inventory targets and minimizing SLOB risk
- Leading Global Supply Chain improvement projects to optimize the External Operations Planning team
- Maintaining relationships with key suppliers
- Developing and implementing inventory policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures
- Planning purchases and inventory per sales forecast, to meet both customer service and inventory targets
- Coordinating and scheduling the shipment of finished goods from system locations or outside facilities to fulfill contractual agreements with suppliers
- Reporting the supply shortages and surpluses of company products to management
- Placing Purchase Orders for finished goods and raw materials based on sales and inventory targets
- Developing planning scenarios and present to management
- Acting as planning representative in global projects impacting their Supply Chains
- Executing ad-hoc planning reports
- Communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain related field
- Have experience with JD Edwards (JDE), SAP, OMP, or similar MRP planning systems
- Have strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel
- Have excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills including comfort with presenting to all management levels
- Are highly detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up skills
- Can identify and manage business priorities
- Can resolve issues – both technical and supply based
- Can lead improvement initiatives
We would prefer if you also:
- Have a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain related field
- Have 3-5 years of related experience in Supply Chain/Operations
- Have experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Supply Chain
- Have experience with SQL or Tableau
- Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrate experience in working with external partners
- Have xperience working in a global, matrixed environment with a lot of independency under limited supervision
Additional Expectations:
- Schedule: Must have flexible working hours to accommodate various time zones as this role is part of a global team
- Travel: Travel will be minimal but may be required for atypical needs such as visits to manufacturing sites
