Responsibilities of the Mechanic Trainee include, but are not limited to:
- Will assist the Technicians with repairing, fabricating, installing and removing a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating industrial pumps as well as gear reducers and other related rotating equipment either in-house or in the field
- General shop duties
- Assist with upkeep
- Work overtime as needed
Qualifications of the Mechanic Trainee include, but are not limited to:
- Training is available
- Must be mechanically inclined
- A validated technical training course (diesel, industrial maintenance or commercial HVAC) is required
- Experience repairing rotating equipment (preferred)
- Ability to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to learn the trade quickly
- Ability to interact with customers/public in a professional and courteous manner
- Able to operate a forklift
- Background check, physical, and drug test required
- Acceptable driving record according to company guidelines required
Additional Information:
Physical Demand: 50 lb. unassisted lift and up to 100 lb. assisted lift capability required
Working Conditions: Power / mining / shop and shop environments
Training/Certifications: Diesel, industrial maintenance or commercial HVAC certification required
Shift Time/Overtime: 6:00am -2:30pm, Monday - Friday, On-call Rotation
Travel: Driving to customer sites
Education: High School Diploma
