We are seeking a professional like you to nurture, grow, and manage the Platform and software architecture of both cloud-based and legacy applications developed or procured and extended at BASF. These drive the customer experience, promote the BASF application ecosystem, and generate revenue for BASF.
The Sr. Specialist Platform and App Dev is a technical role that will be to install a culture of architecture around platform design, code quality, scalability, resilience, and security in accordance with department, division, and BASF standards. You will regularly interact with experts in development, integration, technology, and cloud.
As a Sr. Specialist Platform and App Dev. you create chemistry by...

• Architecting, documenting, developing, and presenting on best practices and standards for development, application architecture, Interfaces, SOA, and microservices, SOLID / DRY / OOPS design, coding, security, and architecture, programming languages, methodologies, and constructs.
• Articulating designing and architecture along a development stack that includes but is not limited to Microsoft Azure, AWS, .Net Framework, .Net Core with frontends implementing Angular 12+ / React
• Developing, debugging, and testing both new and existing applications, as well as recommending enhancements or improvements and implementing solutions within the BASF digital landscape
• Using your expertise on design and operations to coach resources on DevOps methodology, SOLID / OOPS / DRY principles, Cloud operations management and support of the platform
• Relying on your knowledge and experience with Agile & DevOps to respond for leading and coaching others in interdisciplinary work toward digital transformation.
• Participating and guide others in the operations management of client, server, and cloud applications and guiding key stakeholders in architecture, development and testing other digital resources.

If you have...

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in technical field
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Azure DevOps, including managing Azure Portal subscriptions and configuring and managing Azure DevOps
• Expertise with SQL and NoSQL database administration and management
• Experience spanning at least five of the technical items below:
• o Cloud architecture
  o Application architecture
  o Integration architecture
  o Data architecture
  o Interface architecture
  o Infrastructure as code
  o Industry standard design principles such as SOLID, DRY, and OOPs
  o Extract, transform, and load of data
  o Internet of Things
