Job Purpose
Position is responsible for maintaining targeted inventory levels by forecasting short and long-term requirements for replacement parts, which may include factory service parts. This position requires the thorough review of departmental reports/downloads to ensure proper forecasts and orders are maintained in the system. This position provides order projections, issues purchase orders and participates in the monthly and quarterly factory Seihan meetings. Responsibilities also include special projects related to forecasting, order projection, inventory levels/reduction, and departmental objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of order projections and forecasts for locally procured replacement parts to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Order projections completed and provided to supplier according to schedule.
- Maintain forecasts within set variance objectives.
- Projects to support department objectives as assigned
- Work in conjunction with other departments to achieve set customer service levels for managed parts
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, or equivalent work related experience.
- 6-8 years of experience in inventory control, demand forecasting, purchasing, procurement or supplier performance.
- Advanced math, statistical, inventory, forecasting skills and knowledge
- Data analysis and problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and data mining software knowledge
- Communication, Planning and Organization skills
