About the Role
As a GoodRx Senior Software Engineer I, you'll collaborate with the product, design, data, and analytics teams to transform ideas into exceptional products that help people find affordable therapy solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly turn ideas from inception to final product in a fast-paced and friendly environment. You should be comfortable learning new technologies as needed.

You will be joining a squad focused on giving them the information and impetus to help manage their own health needs more effectively. About the Tech
You'll be working with React, Typescript, NextJS, AWS, Fastly, GraphQL, Contentful and occasionally some GoLang. We've built a solid foundation that has delivered value to many millions, and in 2024 we're excited to enhance our platform through the expanded use of React Server Components and more comprehensive data retrieval via our GraphQL Backend for Frontend and MicroService architecture.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers
• Write clean, fast, compatible, easy-to-use, and testable code.
• Mentor and be mentored by other engineers.
• Test and monitor our systems and code.
• Collaborate, learn, and grow.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, delivering web at scale.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, NodeJS, ES6, GraphQL
• Experience maintaining responsive isomorphic web applications.
• High degree of fluency in JavaScript
• Writing standards-compliant, accessible markup
• Experience writing robust unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.
• Ability or desire to be a polyglot. Adapting to the tools and technologies appropriate for the job at hand.
• Be able to confidently propose technical solutions of varying complexity.
• Write technical design documents, such as RFCs, and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve buy in and / or provide alternatives.
• Be an active, enthusiastic and knowledgeable participant in technical discussions within and outside of your team.
• Be proactive in discovering, solving technical issues if they arise.

Nice To Have

• Building server-side APIs and microservices
• Building GraphQL schemas, resolvers, mutations
• Experience building in Golang or similar (e.g., C)
• Experience with SEO: page speed, Web Vitals
• Experience with AWS technologies including StepFunctions, EventBridge
• Experience with tools like Runscope, Sentry, and/or Datadog.
• Familiarity with Content Delivery Network (CDNs), e.g., Fastly
• Experience with Content Management Systems, e.g., Contentful
• Knowledge with continuous integration and automated testing
• API caching strategies, e.g., Redis
