What to Expect
Design creative ways to break software and identify potential bugs. Drive test development of Tesla web applications, services and distributed systems. Define, implement, and maintain test plans, test specifications and test suites. Perform functionality testing for new features. Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases. Ensure customer facing websites are up to par with user experience and user accessibility standards. Work on automated tests to speed up testing cycles and increase regression testing coverage. Test integration between systems by interacting with RESTful APIs or writing SQL queries to verify data integration. Perform cross device or browser testing to ensure website responsiveness and compatibility across platforms.

What You’ll Do
  • Programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Ruby, or related)
  • Test automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium, JIRA, Zephyr or related)
  • Relational databases or SQL
  • Distributed computer systems for client-server architectures
  • Black box or grey box testing
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related
  • Combination of post-secondary academic degrees evaluated as the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in lieu of the Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineering
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related and three (3) years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineering in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five (5) years of progressive experience as described above

Expected Compensation

$72,000 - $258,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
