Job Description
We are seeking a talented software development engineer to develop embedded solutions for military applications including live operations. The developer will provide support for ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and develop new software products. Candidate will work in small development teams on all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, and deployment. Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are required.
What you will do

• Design, develop and test complex embedded software for the Warfighter business unit.
• Deliver high quality software design, documentation, and implementation that meet defined requirements as well as support products throughout the life cycle.
• Collaborate with team members across multiple engineering disciplines including Systems, Algorithms, Electrical, and Firmware.
• Active contributor to streamlining department processes and adopting industry best practices.
• Other duties as assigned by your manager

Qualifications
Required qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' experience
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance
• Demonstrated C/C++/C# experience
• Experience with Python
• Experience in full software development life cycle
• Experience in User Interface development (Qt is plus)
• Experience with embedded microcontrollers/microprocessors (e.g. STM32, TI, ARM etc.)
• Experience with real time operating systems (e.g. freeRTOS)
• Experience with various interfaces like Bluetooth, USB, I2C, UART, SPI
• Experience with standard software practices such as requirements management (e.g. DOORs), source control management (SVN, git, gitlabs, etc.), IDEs, unit testing, and code reviews
• Ability to work with a team to derive software requirements
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments
• Must possess basic MS Office skills; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's Degree in related field
• Active DoD SECRET clearance
• Experience in UX development
• Experience with Linux and/or Android development system
• Experience with CI/CD workflows and methods and associated tools such as Artifactory, Jenkins, Jira, etc.
• Model Based Systems Engineering experience (MBSE)
• Demonstrated experience with Ethernet networking concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP
• Experience in Softcore / FPGA adjacent development environments (ex. Libero, Vivado, Quartus Prime)
