Sr Software Engineer

Title : Sr Software Engineer
Location: - St. Louis, MO - Hybrid - Must be onstie Day 1
Duration: 6+ months
Glider test is required. Developer role with JAVA, Spring Boot and Cloud. Would like for the resource to also have some Hadoop/Spark/Hive experience. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to St. Louis and be onsite on day 1.
Must haves:
What are your top 3 required technical skills?

1. Backend Java developer- Advanced
2. Worked in Spring boot framework- Advance.
3. Data Base (Oracle) proficient with writing queries- Advanced

What are a couple of desired/nice to have skills?

1. Microservices API and cloud native architecture/Azure/ AWS
2. Use of spring batch for applications
3. Hadoop data clusters and NIFI pipelines

Proven experience in technical requirements gathering and documentation
Advanced in Java development, design patterns, threading, unit testing, debugging and Spring Boot
Mid-level experience with REST service design and development
Experience with data analysis
High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in a collaborative (Agile) environment
High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills
Strong SQL skills
Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Some experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala
Some experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular or React
Comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions and seeking help through tools like Teams or Slack.
The ideal candidate may also possess some of these SECONDARY skills:
Experience with high performance, high availability transaction processing systems and multi-tiered web applications
Security experience
Experience with queueing technologies such as Kafka
