Under the direction of the Customer Engagement Solutions Director, the Salesforce Architect will be responsible for overseeing solution design and configuration in the North America instance of Salesforce CRM.
As part of the Customer Engagement Solutions team, you will help optimize CRM processes, customer experience, research new technologies and ensure delivery required to achieve business success.
- Act as internal consultant and design architect for Salesforce solutions within Salesforce CRM. Partner with peers in the IT organization and fellow Functional Architects and Business Analysts to align business processes with solution design, leveraging the capabilities of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
- Responsible for the full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions
- Translate overall business process requirements to Salesforce configuration or development
- Advise on the management of configuration and testing across the Salesforce environment
- Identify areas of opportunity and propose configuration, development, integration, and design to support the AO Smith Business Values
- Understand non-Salesforce business systems and their interaction with Salesforce. Assist in the management of those systems as part of an overall solution portfolio.
- Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage of the Salesforce solution to improve and expand processes across the enterprise.
- You will be involved in key aspects of the application, including analysis, design, configuration, testing, and documentation, with emphasis on designs that increases end-user solution adoption of Salesforce Landscape
- Collaborate cross functionally, with teams and partner vendors to develop and coordinate strategy, roadmap, and execution of well-architected solutions that best leverage Salesforce platforms and products
- Identify and proactively manage problems that need resolution, gather and analyze information, and find solutions
- Excellent relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to align leaders, craft a vision and solve complex business problems for commercial users
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables stakeholders to decide with confidence
- A strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to hands-on configure and execute tactical plans to support the commercial strategy
- Excellent ability to mentor, motivate and direct work tasks to a multi-disciplinary team of Salesforce professionals
- Advanced knowledge of CRM and enterprise application solutions
- Must be an innovative thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a pro-active personality with a can-do attitude to work with our IT teams and business partners around the world
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or another related program
- 8+ years’ experience leading highly integrated Salesforce-focused projects, including requirements gathering, technical solutioning, design review, and implementation
- Mastery of Salesforce declarative tools – ex. Flow
- Experience with Salesforce, Flow, APEX APIs, APEX Triggers, Visual Force, Apex Classes, Apex Web Services, APIs, AppExchange, and Salesforce.com S-controls
- Salesforce integration experience, and experience with a variety of middleware tools
- Experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud required
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ preferred
- Experience with SAP or other ERPs integration preferred
- Experience with Salesforce/Telephony integration preferred
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Ability to model and design core business processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
